Training includes hands-on equipment usage for swabs, tape lift kits, air sampling cassettes, and dust collection devices. Students will learn proper aseptic procedures for collecting biological samples in addition to chain of custody (COC) form and sample submission. Training will include laboratory report interpretation according to recognized industry and government guidelines. Unlike most training courses, this class includes ongoing student mentoring designed to help the student better understand BioContaminant Inspection procedures. The RespirCare Mentoring Program is a two-year program designed to prepare students for ACAC certifications.

RespirCare Analytical has trained over 800 students in the United States and Canada; many of these students are now active RespirCare Associates. Our training focuses on the steps needed to provide your clients with scientifically accurate and legally defensible data. RespirCare Associates are trained to seek reputable and defendable sources of information and provide it to their clients.

The guidelines presented during training originate from multiple reputable authorities, including the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Health Canada, the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), the American Council for Accredited Certifications (ACAC), the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
